The Andhra Pradesh constabulary connected Monday (February 23, 2026) arrested IPS serviceman Sunil Nayak successful Bihar successful transportation with the alleged custodial torture involving the existent Deputy Speaker of Andhra Assembly, K. Raghurama Krishna Raju, during the erstwhile YSRCP administration.

Guntur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Vakul Jindal said the apprehension was officially recorded.

Mr. Raju was arrested successful 2021, during the highest of COVID-19, for allegedly making derogatory remarks against the past Chief Minister, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Following his arrest, Mr. Raju alleged that helium was subjected to torture successful constabulary custody.

After the TDP-led confederation took bureau successful 2024, cases were registered against immoderate officials and erstwhile CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
