It was an ill-fated time for the unit of the sportfishing vessel Shivashankar from Udupi, successful Dakshina Kannada territory of Karnataka, which sank adjacent Karwar, successful Uttara Kannada district, aft being caught successful hostile upwind during Cyclone Phyan successful 2009. To marque matters worse, the security institution denied the assertion of the owner, Shyamala S. Kunder, alleging that the boat had travelled beyond the jurisdiction wherever its security was valid.

After a ineligible conflict of much than 16 years, the Karnataka State Consumer Disputed Redressal Commission (KSCDRC), in its ruling earlier this year, told the security institution to wage 75% of the claim, good and litigation costs to Ms. Kunder.
