Congress suspends 5 Haryana MLAs for cross-voting in Rajya Sabha polls

The Congress, connected Thursday (April 16, 2026), suspended 5 Haryana MLAs from the superior rank of the enactment with contiguous effect for voting against the party’s nominee during the Rajya Sabah canvass past month.

Taking superior enactment of the usurpation of organisational discipline, the enactment has suspended the 5 MLAs from the superior rank of the enactment for anti-party activities, State Congress main Rao Narender Singh said.

He said the enactment has been taken aft the proposal of the State Disciplinary Committee and the support of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge.
