Congress seeks assistance of ₹5,000 to cyclone-affected people in Yanam

The Congress has demanded a fiscal assistance of ₹5,000 to each of the household affected by cyclone Montha successful Yanam portion of the Union Territory.

A delegation of Pradesh Congress Committee led by erstwhile MLA M. N. R. Balan met Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan and submitted a memorandum seeking fiscal assistance to the cyclone-affected radical successful the region. The memorandum besides urged the Lt. Governor to intervene successful providing alleviation to farmers and relaying damaged roads. The authorities has not taken immoderate measurement towards repairing the damaged roads, the memorandum said.
