The weaponry detection and disposal squad (BDDS) carried retired searches astatine the Coimbatore International Airport aft it received a weaponry menace connected Sunday (September 28, 2025) afternoon.
The email menace claimed that explosive materials were planted astatine the airdrome and radical had to beryllium evacuated. The BDDS team, with a sniffer dog, rushed to the airdrome and carried retired searches from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., covering the parking yard, rider terminal and surroundings. Since nary suspicious materials were found, the BDDS declared the menace a hoax.
