Coast Guard seizes Pakistani boat with nine crew members for illegally entering Indian waters

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has seized a Pakistani sportfishing vessel with 9 unit members wrong Indian waters adjacent the International Maritime Boundary Line, officials said connected Thursday (January 15, 2026).

The vessel is being brought to Porbandar, they said.

When challenged, the vessel attempted to fly towards the Pakistani side, helium said. “However, the ICG vessel intercepted and boarded the vessel successful Indian waters. A full of 9 unit members were recovered connected committee the Pakistani boat, Al-Madina,” helium added.

The vessel is being towed to Porbandar by an ICG vessel for thorough “rummaging” and associated interrogation of the unit by agencies concerned, the station said.
