The 62-day-long wait-in protestation by the transport workers affiliated to the CITU ended connected Saturday aft Minister for Transport S. S. Sivasankar announced successful the Tamil Nadu Assembly that the authorities would judge their demands, including the contiguous disbursal of status benefits.

Demanding the revival of aged pension strategy and the disbursal of status benefits connected the time of retirement, the CITU started its indefinite wait-in protestation successful beforehand of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation’s ‘Tamirabharani’ store successful Vannarpet present connected August 18.

The protesting transport workers said the status benefits, which had been kept pending for the past 25 months should beryllium released instantly and urged the Tamil Nadu Government to guarantee the disbursal of the status benefits connected the time of retirement.
