Chittoor territory has won State-level recognition, securing 2nd spot for excellence successful electoral absorption during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The grant was presented to District Collector Sumit Kumar astatine the 16th National Voters’ Day celebrations, astatine Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, Vijayawada, connected Sunday.
Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand conferred the award, successful appreciation of the district’s effectual electoral mapping and businesslike execution of the SIR process.
Chittoor territory was commended for its systematic elector information verification, close electoral mapping, and coordinated efforts by the territory predetermination machinery, which ensured transparency and strengthened the electoral roll.
The grant ceremonial was attended by Chief Electoral Officer Vivek Yadav and erstwhile State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
