Central team visits three DPCs in Madurai district

MADURAI 

The Central team, constituted for assessing the moisture contented of paddy, pursuing their sojourn to the Delta regions visited the Direct Procurement Centres (DPC) successful Madurai portion connected Monday. 

Officials of the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution and Food Corporation of India (FCI) on with the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC), visited 3 DPCs astatine Kattakulam, T. Andipatti, and Bodinayakanpatti, falling nether the Vadipatti taluk.  

The team, comprising R.K. Shahi, Deputy Director, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Rahul Sharma, Technical Officer, Tanij Sharma, Technical Officer, N. Ayyanar, Manager, FCI DO, V.G. Manikandan, Manager, TNCSC and S. Saravanan, Regional Manager, TNCSC, made a sojourn to the 3 DPCs and collected paddy samples for testing.  

Officials said, arsenic the wide request from the farmers was to unbend moisture contented norms from 17% to 22%, the Central squad took enactment of the farmers’ grievances and assured them of speedy action.
