A Central squad comprising elder officials inspected nonstop procurement centres (DPC) successful Cuddalore territory connected Tuesday (October 28, 2025) to measure the moisture contented successful paddy pursuing continuous rainfall nether the power of the Northeast monsoon.

Uma Maheswari, Senior Manager, Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC), inspected the nonstop procurement centre astatine Thookanampakkam and collected samples from the paddy bags.
The squad besides recorded farmers’ concerns and inspected paddy procurement centres successful Kundiyamallur and Kalaiyur.
Sivakumar, a husbandman of Kundiyamallur, said that continuous rains had damaged paddy crops acceptable for harvest and accrued the moisture levels successful the harvested grain. Samples were collected to measure moisture contented and find the grade of the damage.
