The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has coordinated the instrumentality of wanted fugitive Parminder Singh, aka Nirmal Singh, from the United Arab Emirates done the Interpol channels.
The accused was wanted by the Punjab constabulary successful a lawsuit of alleged extortion, raising funds for violent acts, effort to execution and transgression intimidation. He had fled from India and had been absconding since then.
The International Police Cooperation Unit of CBI collaborated with the ministries of External and Home Affairs, the Abu Dhabi National Central Bureau and the Punjab constabulary to get backmost the accused connected Friday. He was escorted by a squad of the Punjab constabulary from the UAE.
Earlier, the CBI had obtained an Interpol Red Notice issued successful the lawsuit connected June 13, 2025, astatine the petition of the State police. Subsequently, Parminder Singh was arrested by the UAE authorities and a determination was made to let his extradition to India.
