The Lawspet Police person registered 2 cases successful transportation with the organisation of currency for votes during the precocious concluded Puducherry Assembly elections.

As per lawsuit details, the FIR has been registered against P. Rajasegar, a nonmigratory of Lawspet, for distributing currency seeking votes for All India N.R. Congress campaigner V.P. Sivakolandhu successful the Lawspet Assembly constituency. A sum of ₹ 18, 500 was recovered from him.
