The Perambra constabulary connected Wednesday registered a lawsuit nether the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act against a radical of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) workers for allegedly barging into the Changaroth grama panchayat office, vandalising its premises, and humiliating the outgoing panchayat president by resorting to “caste slur” during post-election celebrations.
The lawsuit was registered connected a ailment by Unni Vengeri, the outgoing panchayat president, to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Perambra. According to him, the incidental occurred connected December 13, soon aft the announcement of the section assemblage predetermination results.
