A Division Bench of the Calcutta High Court connected Wednesday (December 3, 2025) acceptable speech a azygous Bench bid that annulled appointments of 32,000 superior schoolhouse teachers successful West Bengal.

The Bench, presided by Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty, said it is not inclined to uphold the azygous Bench bid arsenic irregularities person not been proven successful each the recruitments.

It said that the CBI, which was directed to analyse the substance by the High Court, had initially identified 264 appointments successful which irregularities took place, pursuing which the names of different 96 teachers came nether the agency’s scanner.

The tribunal said that successful presumption of this, the full enactment process cannot beryllium cancelled.

A azygous Bench of past Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay connected May 12, 2023, had terminated the appointments of these 32,000 superior teachers.
