Bomb threats sent to Salem Collectorate, District Court found to be a hoax

Unidentified persons sent hoax weaponry threats to the Salem Collectorate, Salem District Court, and Sugavaneswarar Temple connected Monday (October 13, 2025).

On Monday morning, an email was sent to the Salem Collectorate by unidentified individuals, claiming that bombs had been planted astatine the Collectorate, the Salem District Court, and the Sugavaneswarar Temple. Collectorate officials alerted the Salem City Police, and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted searches astatine each 3 locations for much than 2 hours. The threats were recovered to beryllium a hoax.

The Salem Cyber Crime Police are investigating the lawsuit further.
