The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has suspended 4 conductors for allegedly misusing the UPI scanner-linked ticketing strategy and engaging successful fraudulent practices nether the State government’s Shakti scheme.

The enactment follows an interior enquiry that revealed the diversion of rider fares into idiosyncratic accounts. This is not the archetypal specified case. Earlier, successful January 2026, the BMTC suspended 3 conductors for misusing the UPI-linked ticketing system.
