The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) connected Tuesday (April 21, 2026) sought enactment against Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for his “terrorist” remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terming it a usurpation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

In a ailment to the Election Commission, the BJP said specified “rhetoric lowers the level of run discourse, inflamed passions, and undermined escaped and just elections”. The enactment said that describing “the country’s tallest governmental person and person of the world’s largest party” arsenic a “terrorist” for electoral purposes was a signifier of “extreme idiosyncratic vilification” and a “gross violation” of the canvass code.
