Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee continued her disapproval of the VB-G RAM G Bill connected Monday (December 22, 2025) and said that the Centre is pushing the state towards its “end” by removing Mahatma Gandhi’s sanction from the agrarian employment warrant scheme, earlier known arsenic MGNREGA.

“They removed the sanction of the begetter of the federation and brought successful Ram Naam... I americium not against Ram Naam, it is an epic... This came aft the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB–G RAM G) Bill was passed successful some the Parliament Houses and was also assented by President Droupadi Murmu. This Bill came to regenerate the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act which was passed successful 2005.
