The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) has ordered the closure of M/s. Vels Studio and Entertainment Limited located successful Bidadi Industrial Area, Bengaluru South district, for non-compliance of biology norms.

M/s. Vels Studio and Entertainment Limited (M/s. Jolly Wood Studios and Adventures) is wherever the existent variation of the Bigg Boss Kannada world tv amusement is being shot.

According to a KSPCB bid issued connected October 6, 2025, M/s. Vels Studio and Entertainment Limited is an amusement parkland established and operating without obtaining valid consent from the Board which falls nether Green Category.

It added that during inspection it was recovered that discarded h2o generated from antithetic domains of the amusement parkland was discharged extracurricular the premises without immoderate attraction and causing contamination to the surrounding environment.

It further said that the parkland authorities person provided a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) of 250 Kilo Liters per Day (KLD). “However, nary sewer, nary inflow of sewerage to STP was observed, each STP units installed were bare anddischarging the discarded h2o extracurricular the premises without immoderate treatment,” it said.

During inspection it was besides recovered that the housekeeping adjacent STP is precise mediocre and determination is nary flowchart displayed. DG sets of capableness 625 KVA and 500 KVA were besides installed and operating successful the premises.

No coagulated discarded segregation

“The parkland authorities person disposed of the coagulated discarded generated viz., disposable insubstantial plates, cups and integrative discarded adjacent STP country without immoderate segregation successful an unscientific manner,” it added.

KSPCB has issued closure orders nether Section 33(A) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, work with Rule 34 of Karnataka Board for the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution (Procedure for Transaction of Business) and the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules, 1976.
