The Bengaluru North City Corporation conducted a cleanliness thrust connected Sunday, clearing a full of 1,350 tonnes of discarded crossed its jurisdiction.
The thrust covered stretches from Nagawara junction to Hebbal junction on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and extended to Allalasandra. The drive, held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., was led by Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar and was reviewed by Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda.
During the drive, astir 40 amerciable store structures were besides dismantled with instructions issued to forestall aboriginal encroachments.
Over the past week, implicit 150 pourakarmikas were deployed daily, supported by 17 tractors, and 8 tippers and compactors, starring to the removal of astir 1,200 tonnes of operation debris and different discarded from the city’s main roads.
