West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari connected Friday (May 15, 2026) resigned from the Nandigram Assembly seat, choosing to clasp Bhabanipur constituency.

Mr. Adhikari submitted his resignation to Speaker Rathindra Bose wrong the mandatory 14-day play prescribed nether Assembly rules, sources said.

The BJP person contested from some Nandigram successful Purba Medinipur territory and Bhabanipur successful southbound Kolkata successful the precocious concluded assembly elections.

He won Nandigram by defeating Trinamool Congress campaigner Pabitra Kar by 9,665 votes.

In Bhabanipur, helium bushed TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee by a borderline of 15,105 votes.
