Azerbaijan summoned the EU’s ambassador connected Friday ‌(May 1, 2027) to protestation against a European Parliament solution condemning Baku’s ​detention of Armenian prisoners of war and backing ⁠the rights of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh.

The solution denounced what it called Azerbaijan’s “unjust detention” of Armenian prisoners of war, detainees and hostages, and ‌demanded their contiguous release. It besides reiterated the European Union’s enactment for the rights of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians ‌and called for accountability for the demolition of their ‌cultural ⁠and spiritual heritage.
