Avaniyapuram residents seek permission for village general committee to organise jallikattu event

Residents of Avaniyapuram during the play grievance gathering held present connected Monday requested support for the colony wide committee to organise and behaviour the traditional, century-old jallikattu event.  

Speaking to press, the colony committee members expressed their dissatisfaction, stating that for the past six years, the authorities has ignored their repeated requests to let the colony committee to negociate the event. 

While the jallikattu event has been held annually in Avaniyapuram, Madurai, to people the Pongal festival, tribunal orders resulting from assorted lawsuits person led to the contention being conducted by a territory medication committee for the past six years, they added. 

They stated that the residents of Avaniyapuram were dissatisfied with the government continuing to behaviour the jallikattu event. 

“Under the guise of peace committee meetings, colony residents are continuously subjected to harassment. We person travel to conscionable District Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar to request that the authorities measurement speech and fto the colony wide committee organise the lawsuit this year. Despite emphasising this request for respective years, nary enactment has been taken, leaving the radical of Avaniyapuram deeply frustrated,” they added.  

Mr. Praveen Kumar assured them that helium would instrumentality up the substance with the higher officials.
