At slightest 404 candidates contesting successful the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections person declared that superior transgression cases are pending against them and 722 candidates person declared that they person transgression cases pending against them, according to a study released by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Tamil Nadu Election Watch (TNEW) connected Sunday (April 19, 2026).

TNEW State coordinator P. Joseph Victor Raj released the study and it was received by Jayaram Venkatesan, State Coordinator of Arappor Iyakkam.
