Assam Assembly elections 2026: TMC names candidates for 17 seats, NPP nominates three

The Trinamool Congress announced the archetypal database of 17 candidates for the upcoming elections to the 126-member Assam Assembly, with its State elder vice-president Dulu Ahmed among the cardinal nominees.

The National People’s Party (NPP) besides fielded candidates successful 3 seats, including AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam, who had switched sides recently.
