ASI assault case: Mangaluru court sentences accused to seven years rigorous imprisonment

The Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track Sessions Court-1, Mangaluru, connected Monday sentenced Mahammed Niyaz to 7 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a good of ₹25,000. The tribunal recovered him blameworthy of attempting to execution Assistant Sub-Inspector Aithappa.

The tribunal further sentenced Niyaz to 3 years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a good of ₹15,000 for the offence punishable nether Section 333, work with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code. He was besides sentenced to 2 years rigorous imprisonment and slapped with a good of ₹10,000 for the offence nether Section 332, work with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
