Arun shifted, Modak appointed Chennai Police Commissioner

The Election Commission of India (EC) connected Friday (April 10, 2026) ordered the contiguous transportation of Greater Chennai Commissioner of Police A. Arun and posting of Additional Director General of Police Abhin Dinesh Modak successful his place.

Mr. Modak took complaint of his caller duty successful the evening. The EC directed that Mr. Arun should not beryllium posted successful immoderate election-related posts till the completion of the Assembly election.
