Four Army unit were killed and 9 others injured erstwhile their conveyance skidded and plunged into a heavy gorge successful Doda territory of Jammu and Kashmir connected Thursday, officials said.

The mishap took spot astatine Khanni apical on the Bhaderwah-Chamba interstate road.

Officials said the bullet-proof Army vehicle, carrying 17 personnel, was heading towards a high-altitude station erstwhile its operator mislaid power and the conveyance plunged into a 200-foot-deep gorge.

A associated rescue cognition by Army and constabulary was instantly launched and 4 soldiers were recovered dead, officials said.

They said 9 injured soldiers were rescued and 3 of them, who suffered captious injuries, were airlifted to the Udhampur subject infirmary for treatment.
