Andhra Pradesh gets additional Central assistance of ₹341.48 crore towards cyclone relief

Andhra Pradesh has been allotted ₹341.48 crore further assistance from the National Disaster Response Fund for the losses it suffered owed to Cyclone Montha past year.

The High-Level Committee chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah approved a full of ₹1,912.99 crore further Central assistance to the States of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir that were affected by floods, flash floods, cloudburst, Cyclone Montha, and landslides successful 2025, an authoritative merchandise said.

Out of the full amount, Chhattisgarh was allocated ₹ 15.70 crore, Gujarat ₹778.67 crore, Himachal Pradesh ₹288.39 crore, Nagaland ₹158.41 crore, and J&K ₹330.34 crore.

The assistance was implicit and supra the funds released by the Centre to the States from the State Disaster Response Fund. During the fiscal twelvemonth 2025-26, the Central Government had released ₹20,735.20 crore to 28 States nether SDRF and ₹3,628.18 crore nether NDRF to 21 States.
