Alprazolam peddler held in Chandanagar, two others absconding

A 38-year-old antheral was nabbed by the Chandanagar Police and the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Madhapur for allegedly supplying Alprazolam for toddy adulteration. Officers seized 1,170 grams of the substance during the operation.

The accused was identified arsenic Goundla Bala Murali Krishna of Vemana Reddy Colony successful Chandanagar. Two different suspects, Ravi Teja and Sai Sudhakar, are absconding.

DCP Madhapur Ritiraj said Murali Krishna was caught astatine his residence pursuing a tip-off. “He allegedly ran a toddy store astatine Doulatabad colony successful Hathnoora mandal of Medak on with Sudhakar and others. During questioning, helium admitted to procuring Alprazolam from Ravi Teja of Podichanpally colony successful Papannapet mandal for ₹3 lakh per kilogram. A car and a mobile telephone were seized from him,” said the officer.
