AIADMK legislators, led by its person Edappadi K. Palaniswami, connected Monday (June 22, 2026) staged a walkout from the Tamil Nadu Assembly to protestation the denial of support by Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar to rise the Mekedatu issue.
The Speaker said helium could not licence the treatment arsenic the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) had decided determination would beryllium neither Question Hour nor Zero Hour during the sitting, and the solution connected Mekedatu had been unanimously accepted by each parties.
