Complaining that those allegedly associated with Madurai Corporation spot taxation scam had not been decently interrogated by the police, AIADMK councillors connected Friday petitioned the constabulary seeking expeditious enquiry and betterment of the nonaccomplishment incurred by the Corporation.
The concillors, led by their leader, Solai M. Raja, submitted a petition to Deputy Inspector General of Police, Abinav Kumar, who heads the Special Investigation Team formed by the High Court.
They alleged that retired of the 10,000 commercialized buildings successful the city, irregularities had happened successful fixing spot taxation for astatine slightest 2,000 specified buildings. The Corporation has mislaid astir ₹200 crore.
