“Action has been taken against much than 4,000 radical crossed India pursuing complaints of irregularities successful implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission,” the Lok Sabha was informed connected Thursday (January 29, 2026).
Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, portion responding to a supplementary question, said that based connected complaints, teams were formed to analyse issues. The reports of the teams were besides shared with the States.
“Primarily, the complaints were lodged for mediocre prime of work, fiscal irregularities and inadequate h2o supply,” the Minister said, adding that enactment has been taken against much than 4,000 people.
Mr. Patil said grants for works nether the ngo are released to State Governments, who contented tenders, hole task reports and stock compliance with the Ministry.
