The Udupi District Police person taken enactment against 11 vehicles that were allegedly recovered transporting sand, laterite stones and m-sand illegally, since December 6. In a property release, the SP said since December 6, unit were posted astatine the check-posts wherever continuous checking of vehicles transporting soil and different 2 operation materials was being done.

Eleven vehicles were recovered transporting worldly without paying royalty to the authorities and without indispensable transport permits. A lawsuit was registered against the operator and proprietor of a conveyance for alleged amerciable proscription of soil successful Manipal Police Station. In the remaining 10 cases, worldly was seized and substance was referred to Mines and Geology Department for further action. The Department has imposed punishment totalling to ₹3.08 lakh connected the conveyance owners.

Tough enactment volition proceed against those illegally transporting sand, laterite stones and m-sand, the SP added.
