83-year-old woman murdered in Namakkal

An aged pistillate was murdered allegedly for jewellery adjacent Tiruchengode connected Tuesday (February 24, 2026).

The deceased, K. Rathinam, alias Rathinammal (83), a nonmigratory of Kalivelampalayam near Tiruchengode, was residing unsocial successful her house. On Tuesday morning, adjacent residents recovered the house’s beforehand doorway locked outside. Residents alerted Rathinam’s relatives and the Tiruchengode Rural police. The constabulary rushed to the spot and recovered Rathinam dormant with stab injuries. The constabulary sent the assemblage to Namakkal Government Hospital for post-mortem.
