A 46-year-old homemaker has lodged a ailment with the East Division Cybercrime Police alleging online blackmail and cyber fraud targeting her 78-year-old father-in-law, Santosh Khemani.
According to the complaint, the accused woman, who identified herself arsenic Radhika Agrawal, initially contacted the aged antheral done a Facebook illustration nether the sanction ‘Radhika Aggarwal’. She aboriginal shared a WhatsApp fig and continued conversing with Mr. Khemani done the messaging platform.
The constabulary said the enactment reportedly began arsenic affable chats but aboriginal turned inappropriate, starring to intimate video calls. The accused allegedly recorded the speech and began blackmailing the unfortunate by demanding ₹2 lakh and subsequently expanding the amount.
The complainant besides alleged that the accused created a fake Instagram account, impersonating the victim. Family members were added to the account, and the accused allegedly threatened to circulate the backstage photos and videos publically to defame him.
The pistillate stated that the incidental had caused terrible affectional distress to the household and that her father-in-law, owed to his precocious age, was incapable to attack the constabulary personally. She has requested the authorities to hint the accused and instrumentality strict ineligible action.
