Best-performing cooperative societies crossed Kallakurichi territory were felicitated by Minister for Public Works E.V. Velu astatine the 72nd All India Cooperative Week celebrations present connected Monday.
The Minister besides distributed loans to the tune of ₹69.21 lakh to 18 beneficiaries.
Mr. Velu said successful Kallakurichi district, loans to the tune of ₹544 crore, including loans taken by self-help groups, jewellery loans and cultivation loans were waived aft the DMK came to power.
District Collector M.S. Prasanth participated.
