The incidental occurred astatine astir 1.30 a.m. adjacent Sangani colony connected the Chotila-Rajkot National Highway, Deputy Superintendent of Police S.S. Bhadoriya said.

The backstage luxury autobus was going towards Rajkot from Ahmedabad erstwhile it collided with an asphalt-laden tanker moving up of it. After the collision adjacent Chotila, the autobus caught fire.

There were astir 40 passengers successful the bus, and respective of them were rescued, Mr. Bhadoriya said.

"Four passengers were burnt live successful the collision betwixt the backstage autobus and the tanker filled with asphalt," Deputy Collector H.T. Makwana said.

Ten persons suffered injuries successful the incident, according to the police.

The injured persons were referred to Rajkot civilian hospital, and the bodies were shifted to Chotila referral infirmary for postmortem, Mr. Makwana said.

After being alerted, a firefighting squad rushed to the spot and brought the blaze nether control.
