As galore arsenic 4,500 participants— young and aged alike— took to Kozhikode formation for the 16th variation of the Calicut Half Marathon (CHM), organised by students of the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K), connected Sunday (February 8).

The lawsuit transformed the iconic beachfront into a vibrant oversea of runners agreed by sport, assemblage spirit, and societal purpose. It was flagged disconnected by Olympian Jinson Johnson.

The 2026 edition, held nether the taxable ‘Run to Remember– Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness,’ aimed to spark informed conversations astir cognitive health, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, caregiving, and the captious relation of assemblage support. The taxable resonated powerfully with participants, reinforcing the marathon’s contented of blending endurance athletics with meaningful societal causes.

The lawsuit featured 3 contention categories: 21-km fractional marathon (timed), 10-km tally (timed) and 3-km imagination tally (non-timed). The marathon carried full currency prizes worthy ₹4 lakh. India’s VKC was the supporting partner.

The lawsuit concluded with an awards ceremonial attended by Anandakuttan Unnithan, dean (programmes), IIM-K, VKC Razak, managing director, VKC, representatives from KVR Honda, and elder officials of IIM-K.
