The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption unit seized unaccounted currency of ₹2.51 lakh from the bureau of Deputy Director of Fire and Rescue Services and a fireman present connected Tuesday.

Following accusation that a ample sum of wealth is to beryllium handed implicit to Saravana Babu, Deputy Director of Fire and Rescue Services, Tirunelveli, arsenic bribe, the DVAC team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Maclaurin Escol and Inspector of Police Robin, raided the bureau successful NGO ‘B’ Colony astir noon.
