154 arrested in Cyberabad NDPS crackdown; drugs worth ₹3.69 crore seized

The Cyberabad Police arrested 154 persons and registered 61 cases nether the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act during a large anti-drug crackdown conducted betwixt April 1 and May 22.

Drugs worthy an estimated ₹3.69 crore were seized during the enforcement thrust carried retired jointly by Cyberabad Enforcement teams and instrumentality and bid constabulary units.

Data shared by the constabulary revealed that ganja accounted for the highest fig of cases during the crackdown, with 42 cases registered, 559.618 kg ganja worthy ₹2.79 crore seized and 108 persons arrested. In addition, 2 cases involving ganja chocolates led to the seizure of 28.225 kg and the apprehension of 4 persons. Five hashish lipid cases resulted successful the seizure of 2.02 litres valued astatine ₹25.25 lakh, with 12 accused apprehended. In 2 methamphetamine cases, constabulary seized 317.6 gm worthy ₹63.52 lakh and arrested six persons.
