Thirteen fishermen from Bangladesh were taken into custody by the marine constabulary aft they reached Musavanipeta of Etcherla mandal of Srikakulam territory connected Sunday.

According to the marine police, the fishermen were stranded astatine oversea arsenic they ran retired of substance and nutrient successful the boat. The vessel reportedly drifted towards West Bengal and Odisha coasts and aboriginal reached Srikakulam coast.

Local fishermen informed the marine constabulary astir the question of strangers. The constabulary took them into custody and inquired into the crushed for entering the coast. They told the constabulary that they were starving for the past 15 days. The locals offered them nutrient and medicine. The constabulary said they would pass Bangladesh Coast Guard astir the fishermen’s introduction into Indian waters.
