A full of 100 kg of ganja worthy ₹7 lakh was seized and 3 men were arrested adjacent Bargur successful Krishnagiri connected Thursday (September 25, 2025). The narcotic substance was recovered pursuing a conveyance cheque adjacent the Andhra Pradesh border.
The arrested were identified arsenic Venugopal (29), and Harikrishna (26) from Kadapalli and Vellaipandi, (46) from Ayyampatty successful Madurai. According to the police, the Prohibition Enforcement Wing constabulary intercepted a two-wheeler and a car connected Thursday morning.
On inquiry, the motorcyclist and the car operator gave contradictory statements to the police, pursuing which the four-wheeler was searched.
The car was recovered stacked with 100 kg of ganja packaged successful 50 packets of 2 kg each. Upon interrogation, the trio revealed that the narcotics were brought from Andhra Pradesh and was headed to Madurai for sale. Venugopal, Harikrishna and Vellaipandi were arrested. They were remanded successful prison. The ganja and vehicles worthy ₹10 lakh were besides seized.
